    Description

    This neckace, signed
    CORO
, a famous jewelry designer, has stones that dance with color, all depending on movement. Borealis stones are very reflective so though they might appear blue on this photo, depending on what is around them, the color can change.  The stones are grouped allowing for extra reflection, blues, pinks, amber?.all change with a step.  The metal work, sometimes unnoticed because of the stones, is intricate and beautifully connected.  The decorative area is 8?, total length is 12? and the hook and chain closing allows for great flexibility in wearing.
    Coro
has made some of the most fashionable and interested jewelry of the 40s and 50s.  You will find it easy to wear ? a rear eye catcher.
I call my store DREAMS OF GLITTER because it was a dream – my Mother'sdream and all of the jewelry comes from my mother's costume jewelry store called THE GYPSY which was closed 20 years ago when she passed.
I didn't realize until after she was gone what a wonderful collection it was - and it was a collection as she only bought what she liked.  Mostly she knew who she was buying from and entertained us with the stories of their lives while we looked at jewelry worn by someone we never knew nor met. Often, my Mother kept in touch with them for a long time and if you saw a necklace in her store, she could usually tell you who owned it.
Much of the vintage Costume jewelry was strung with cotton thread which deteriorated over the years and though it was still intact, my fear was that it would break at an inopportune time, so we have restrung many pieces. Also, we are here to repair any unforeseen accident.  I want them to live with you for a long time. Please note that all of the jewelry you see here is “costume” and has a value often greater than the materials used.  We use terms only for description, and not as a technical guarantee for the materials
