Description
Hello, and thanks for checking out my wagon. Please read the entire description as most all of your questions should be addressed. What we have here is a very rare, loaded 69 Kingswood Estate station wagon. Originally an Olympic Gold exterior with upgraded Caprice interior. Wheels and tires are not included with the car. The car will be delivered with roller wheels and tires.
This is a non running project car. Entire drivetrain is matching #'s. The engine turns over but does not run due to the original 2bl carburetor is frozen. All factory 396 cars were equipped with 2bl carbs on full size Chevrolet for 1969. It is my belief that parting a car like this out is a crime, however if the car does not sell whole, I will be forced to part it out. If you want to save her, put your money where your mouth is. The car is loaded with the following options:
396 BB
TH400
12 bolt Posi
Tilt column
Cruise Control
3 spoke wood sport wheel
Comfortron AC
Power Disc Brakes
Power Steering
HD F-40 suspension
Air Ride self leveling suspension
Rear facing 3rd row seat
Power Windows
Power Door Locks
AM/FM
Remote Mirror
RH mirror
Luggage rack
Bumper Guards
Power rear window
Rear Window Defogger
Rear Seat Speaker
Rear Window Air Deflector
Vent shades
Auxiliary Lighting Group
Deluxe Pedal Trim Kit
Dual exhaust
Low Windshield Washer Warning Light (NOT included)
Keen observers will note the column is a floor shift tilt column with the integral Cruise Control turn signal stalk. I have reason to believe this wagon was factory equipped with a floor shifter/console as evidenced by the shifter cable provision on the transmission tunnel, as well as the heater floor vent is the divided type equipped only on console cars. And clearly the column is for a console equipped car. Sadly the original front seat was missing when I acquired the car, so we may never know.
The car has some cancer in the front floorboards, but I'd rate it at a 4 on a 10 scale with 10 being junk. The rear floorboards are solid, as is the 3rd row seat footwell. At some point in the cars life an old school pop up sunroof was installed. Later when this was removed, metal was welded in and a huge coat of filler was applied. At least a 1/4 of an inch or more. This is the worst attribute to the car. As you can see, a tree branch also fell on the left rear portion of the roof, thereby damaging the optional luggage rack. I do have a roof available from another 69 wagon at no cost, if a buyer is interested. I do not have any of the side trim for the car. I have the windshield moldings and the tailgate trim only.
The car is located in Washington State approximately one hour from Seattle. I have a clear Washington title in hand. I have shipped cars all over the world to include Saudi Arabia, The Netherlands and Australia. Shipping is the buyers responsibility, although I have shippers I can recommend. I will store the car for up to three weeks upon receipt of payment at no charge. 0.00 non refundable deposit is due within 48hrs of auctions close.
If you have any questions regarding the car please feel free to call or text me directly at 360 420-8665. I can take photos of any part of the car you'd like. Price is k firm.
