WW1 CEF Silver War Medal  to Albert COX for service with 224th Canadian Infantry Battalion "Canadian Forestry Battalion",
who was born in Bristol, England, lived in Ottawa, Ont.
and
attested for service on Mar. 14th 1916 in
Ottawa, Ont.
at 40 years of age.
A very scarce medal to
this Battalion as it was absorbed into Canadian Forestry Corps, only those soldiers who reached England but were not absorbed
in to
the
Canadian Forestry Corps
and sent to the front retained the original 224-Can. Inf. on the medal.
