WW1 CEFSilver War Medal
to George Alexander HOWARD for service with 79th Canadian Infantry Battalion who was born in Brandon, Manitoba
and attested for service
in
Brandon, Man
.
on Nov. 15th 1915 at 36 years of age.
A very scarce medal to 79th Battalion as Battalion was absorbed into the 17th Reserve Battalion fighting on the front and only those soldiers who reached England but were not
absorbed into the 17th Reserve Battalion
and sent to the front retained the original 79 Can. Inf. on the medal.
Impressed along edge: 152465 PTE. G.A. HOWARD 79-CAN. INF.
With correct WW1 ribbon
