WW1 CEF Silver War Medal  to Henry BURKE for service with 108th Canadian Infantry Battalion "Selkirk Overseas Battalion",
who was born in London, England and attested for service in Winnipeg, Man. on Jan. 14th 1916 at
35
years of age.
A very scarce medal to
this Battalion as it was absorbed into the 14th Reserve Battalion fighting on the front and only those soldiers who reached England but were not absorbed
in to
14th Reserve Battalion
and sent to the front retained the original 108-Can. Inf. on the medal.
Impressed along edge: 721658 PTE. H. BURKE 108-CAN. INF. With correct WW1 ribbon
