Description
Only two available!Normal list price of this larger utility grade current transformer is nearly 7.
General Electric 750X20G-1 type JAD-0 has just under a 6 inch inside diameter and a
800:5 current ratio. Approximately eight inches square and 2 inches thick.
Secondary access is via 1/4-20 brass hardware and is still securable by its
original anti tamper seal. ( Crimper not provided. )
Received by us as public utility surplus. Vintage dating from 1992 is
apparently unused and
includes precision calibration data.
Original
packaging had severe storage cosmetics and will not be provided.
Operating frequency is 50 to 60 Hertz. Also usable as a
collectible or lecture show and tell.
IMPORTANT WARNING: A current transformer must NEVER have its
secondary open circuited under load!
Always short or connect to an
appropriate low impedance ammeter! This particular unit includes a
shorting bar.
In normal use, 800 primary amperes will drive a secondary 0-5 ac ammeter
to full scale. Multiple primary turns can proportionally increase sensitivity.

Usually requires single conductor insertion through center hole.
