Only THREE available!We received a large collection of vintage NOS current
and voltage transformers from a public utility auction.
All apparently unused in original packaging.
Offered here is one General Electric precision current
transformer
with precision calibration docs
. Model
JCT-0 600:5 ratio with 600 volt isolation.
1979 era.
Appears to have never been used. May require moderate
cleaning
or polishing.
Operating frequency is 60 Hertz. Also usable as a
collectible or lecture show and tell.
IMPORTANT WARNING: A current transformer must
NEVER have its secondary open circuited under load!
Always short or connect to an appropriate low impedance
ammeter!
Primary conductors consistent with 600 amp service. and
output screw terminals are 10-32. Current ratio of 600:5 is
plainly marked. Approximately twelve inches long.
