Universal 4-port MAC valves are commonly used to boost control on turbocharged vehicles with wastegates that have 2 ports. This allows a wider range of boost control than other methods because full boost can be applied on either side of the wastegate diaphragm. This is used when you need more dynamic range than a 3 port solenoid can provide.  (We also offer Mac 3 port solenoids).
