This Distinctive McEWAN’S BITTER GREEN SERVICE BAR TRAY is in Good Condition. William McEwan opened Fountain Brewery on the outskirts of Edinburgh in 1857.
The McEWAN’S EXPORT BEER MAT COASTERS measure 3 1/2” x 4 1/4”. The iconic McEwan’s Export Logo of the "Laughing Cavalier” was inspired by the well-known Frans Hals painting and featured both sides of the Beer Mats. They are made in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The green color of this attractive McEwan’s Bitter Bar Tray visually stands out. This tray measures 12” in diameter & 1 1/4” deep. The bar tray is in good condition with no dents, however, it does have a few scratches that are shown in the photographs!
McEwan’s Scottish Brewers drew heavily from imagery of the British Empire in its branding and advertising.
