    Description

    An early pre prohibition era tin litho beer brewery advertising serving tray. This tray is advertising Bartels 00 Beer Fine Ales & Porter. From The Bartels Brewing Co. of Edwardsville Pennsylvania PA. This 13" diameter inverted pie style tray is marked as made by: Kaufmann & Strauss Co. of NY. Very sharp and colorful graphic tray showing a Victorian lady holding a glass of beer and a labeled bottle of Bartels 00 Beer. Condition as shown fair with pretty evenly distributed surface wear and crazing and displays well with nice color and graphics. There is something funny about the letter S in Bartels along the rim almost appears to have been added later/touched up by a previous owner? Far from perfect but a fairly rare tray in any condition and this one displays well. Check out my other auctions for more early brewery tip and serving trays presently listed.
