Vintage Modernist Haglund Sterling Silver Oval Panel Bracelet South Africa
This bracelet is a very rare piece that was made by the Swedish silversmith
Birger Haglund. It has five oval panels that depict a sword and shield, a cow,
African woman, a native hut under a shade tree and a cauldron, cooking pot.
Mr. Haglund crafted these pieces in Johannesburg, South Africa from 1948-1952.
The bracelet is in excellent condition and shows very little if any wear. It measures
7 1/4'' long and attaches by a hook and loop closure. It weighs 36.6 grams. It is signed
on the back, Haglund Hand Made Sterling Silver South Africa.
