Co-developed by Intel Labs and Apple, this revolutionary interface delivers an astounding 10 gigabits per second of signal transfer capability with virtually zero latency. Using Thunderbolt technology, the TAC-2 is unaffected by computer jitter, eliminating the need to connect an external master clock source. Moreover, the powerful 10W/18V bus-powered power supply provided by the Thunderbolt interface allows the TAC-2 to use high-end components such as Burr Brown's PCM4202 A/D converter and AKM's AK4396 D/A converter. In addition, the TAC-2 has a built-in upsampling function that processes analog to digital and digital to analog conversions at four times the sampling rate. This results in A/D conversion with no aliasing noise (fold-back noise) and D/A conversion with clearer and clearer sound than ever before.
